‘Forget You’ comes from Toronto-based singer-songwriter GRAE, who has really started to forge a unique, sentimental sound. This one brings together distant guitar work and crunchy, lo-fi drums to form the perfect accompaniment for GRAE’ s voice. Her influences are rooted in 80s music, and you can feel those influences being twist and turned into something modern. She explains that this single “was written when I finally decided to let go of a relationship I romanticized. This person no longer served me, yet I still found myself caught up in the nostalgia of it all, looking back on our time spent together with rose-coloured glasses... This song was therapeutic and emotional for me to write. A release of all these emotions I had been feeling for years.
